Hard times

Recently, a former colleague and friend I knew in my last media job told me he was retrenched. This was the second time people were retrenched from the same company since last November. It's another sign that times have gotten harder for everyone. I also got a bad throat infection and it hurt a lot when I tried to swallow food or drink. After taking some medicine from the doctor, I'm feeling slightly better now.

Outside my apartment

It's a rather noisy day today with a small tractor digging downstairs outside my apartment. The digging has been going on for hours. Looks like I'll have to put up with it for now.
